  If you're a budding entrepreneur, 2011 could be your year – with a little help from the Luton College. A series of college lectures has been specially designed for anyone interested in growing a new business.
  
  Make a New Year resolution and keep it – by joining the lectures in January. The Basics of Building a Business, or B3 lectures as they are known, are open to anyone in the region. There’s also a chance to win a great prize in the B3 business competition, run alongside the lectures, for the most promising and well-presented idea.

- An online Luton College degree offers a flexible means of studying, to enable a student to obtain a Luton College degree, alongside work, family and social commitments. Ideally suited to the needs of working adults, students will not need to travel to attend any classes. They will be able to study for the college degree entirely online, from home, work, on the move or wherever else is convenient, and at times to suit themselves.
  
  When applying for an online college degree, a student's previous work experience, as well as their academic qualifications, will be taken into account. Throughout the course students will have the opportunity to interact with fellow students, their tutor and an academic adviser. On successful completion, students will be invited to attend a graduation ceremony with their guests. Studying for an online Luton College degree will help people kick-start or enhance their career.

- Free new skills training is almost over - get in quickly!
  
  A project at the Luton College, which provides free staff training for local based small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) is now entering its final phase for Luton companies and the college’s Project Team wants to sign up new delegates for the final round of courses.
  
  The ‘New Skills for the Information Age’ project provides free training in a range of areas including people skills, time management, team building, information computer technology (ICT), project management, website design skills and more.Project Manager, Sarah Waller, explained: "There is still time for companies to sign up for the courses.
  
  The training, which is free of charge thanks to funding from the European Social Fund (ESF), has been well received by local businesses such as Remdex UK, based in Luton, which has taken full advantage of this opportunity, ensuring that its staff’s skills are very much up to the minute.
